Ska-Punk band Victory Kid will release their first album on August 13th, 2021.
“Discernation” will be the first-ever pressing from the band.
There are bands that find themselves starting out without having any experience playing an instrument or writing music. Victory Kid comes from a different experience, these guys are all professional musicians and work as session instrumentalists for bands, solo artists, and film productions. But the thing these seasoned musicians have in common with those that are learning as they go is the focus for everything they do is to have fun. The musical style is punk rock, ska, with elements of pop, reggae, and that little something you get when you throw everything together in a basement to create an upbeat and energetic sound.
Victory Kid was founded in California although half the band is from Europe: Singer, surfer, and founder of the group Harrison Nida met session drummer Carlo Ribaux, originally from Switzerland, in Los Angeles and soon after Andrew and Cuni joined the band. From the start things developed fast: West-coast tours, opening shows for Alien Ant Farm and Mustard Plug as well as working with Allan Hessler, Matt Appleton (Reel Big Fish), and Arion Salazar (Third Eye Blind).
SBÄM is releasing their new full-length album that will consist of several single releases the band did over the years The trilogy of the EPs “Illenials”; Thrillenials” and “Chillenials” combined result in the band’s first LP “Discernation” and will be sure to be one of the 'essential listening" releases this summer.
