Melanie Kaye is an experienced publicist, producer, and cultural strategist with over 40 years of leadership in the arts and media industries. Specializing in music publicity, artist relations, and media strategy, she is recognized for her work at the intersection of culture, community engagement, and social impact.
As the founder and CEO of Melanie Kaye PR, she has led national and international campaigns across music, publishing, film, festivals, and cultural institutions. Her approach combines strategic communications with deep industry relationships and a strong commitment to inclusive, values-driven storytelling.
Melanie is a founding member of The Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, where she currently provides strategic leadership in a variety of roles including Management Consultant, overseeing programming, press /marketing, and exhibition curation. Her work supports the museum’s mission to preserve and present punk’s global history through accessible, community-based cultural experiences.
She launched the Canadian office of Fat Wreck Chords, managed its national operations for 26 years, and continues to support artists and labels worldwide through her independent practice. With a career rooted in the DIY ethos of punk, Melanie brings a hands-on, collaborative approach to every project — whether leading a campaign, building partnerships, or developing innovative programming for diverse audiences.
