After unveiling the singles All the Lights On, Talkers and Wait!, and finding themselves in the BDS charts for more than 27 weeks with the French version of All the Lights On, the punk rock band from Quebec City, Sam & The Terrible News, today launches their first album entitled Face A.Created in 2020, but far from being new to the music scene, formed by former members of Each On Set and Still My Queen, bands that left an indelible imprint on the underground scene in the early 2000s, the members of Sam & The Terrible News, friends for several years, created this project with the primary goal of having fun, but also of seeing each other more often."We lived the emo era together, we were part of the same hockey team for almost 10 years, we lived thousands of crazy parties at the bar, in addition, some of our songs talk about different periods of our friends' lives. In short, we have many memories in common, many anecdotes, but most are not told! " mentions Samuel Paquin, leader of the group. Newly signed to the Artifice label, Sam & The Terrible News is an ideal current mix of punk, pure rock, 90s alternative rock, and early Californian punk rock,

Sam & The Terrible News is the perfect balance of what I'm looking for as a rock music fan. Raw energy, powerful guitars, catchy songs, and classical structures, he adds. Comprising six pieces written and composed by Samuel Paquin, and addressing the subjects of a generation whether, in the age of social media, love, the past, and introspection, the mini-album Face A is the result of more than two years of work with a few collaborators including Scott Hallquist (Ten Foot Pole). Having not been able to perform on stage since its creation, due to the current situation, Sam & The Terrible News is more than ever ready to present this new opus and is already working on a second album. By the same fact, the band puts forward the single Chasing on an Illusion, accompanied by a music video directed by Maxime Maltais.
